The room decor and furniture were classic and restful, fitting the sea theme of the hotel. The balcony had great views. The bathroom was well- equipped and had a spa-like feel. The large fluffy towels were great. Tori and Kylie at the front desk were incredibly helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out both were easy and quick. The restaurant (and continental breakfast) was very nice with an excellent menu and service. We will definitely stay at Smithfield Station again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Terrific experience! This quaint little hotel truly captures the small marina-town charm of Smithfield. The customer service was excellent, and the rooms were spotless, charming, and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the balcony views were beautiful, and there were plenty of great spots to walk around or sit and soak up the sun. The onsite restaurant was amazing as well. This is one of Virginia’s best-kept secrets. It’s conveniently located within easy walking distance of cute shops and local restaurants. I would rank this at the top of my lodging experiences and will definitely be returning. Perfect for business trips or family getaways!!

This place is a real gem. The food and atmosphere was out of this world. Everything about it was magnificent. I will definitely be coming back and trying other items on the menu. I really couldn't make up my mind between the calabash shrimp and chicken. I went with the chicken. The presentation was awesome to say the least. The price was definitely worth it

We had a team dinner here and it was wonderful. The service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. Ken, the GM, was fantastic to work with to coordinate the party. I would highly recommend them. If you ca. get there before sunset, the views are exceptional!

We enjoyed Valentines dinner at the restaurant. The seafood platter was so delicious. Erica was our waitress and was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed it so much We came back for breakfast on Sunday and everything was just as good. We were also fortunate to have Erica serve us again, we plan to return in the near future.

Amazing place! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Room was great and very well kept. I come from a maritime background, so the lighting fixtures and carpet felt very homey. Location made finding some nicer restaurants tough (the in-house restaurant was delicious). Beautiful scenery. My only gripe was that the light in the peak of the lighthouse was on all night (dusk to dawn). It isn’t super bright inside the room, but it’s definitely noticeable. Overall very happy with our stay, and well definitely be back!
